We are seeking a full-time Draftsperson, located in our Sydney office, facilitating drafting services across our national footprint.
As a fulltime Draftsperson, you will be responsible for drafting and revising audio-visual (AV) systems which will involve: Technical AV Design validation through the shop drawing process.
Preparing AV signal flow diagrams/system schematics.
Preparing typical elevations and layouts of AV equipment.
Assisting in the development and maintenance of drafting workflow, reference libraries and standards.
Reviewing and liaising with architectural and building trades for coordinated shop drawing packages, including but not limited to; General Arrangements, Elevations, Reflected Ceiling Plans, Cable Schedules, Signal Flow Diagrams, System Schematics, Network Topology, Equipment Details, Mechanical Fabrication.
Researching AV product information as needed for drawing preparation.
Coordinating with internal & external stakeholders, vendors and manufacturers as needed.
As the ideal candidate, you will have at least 2 years of fulltime highly relevant post-qualification work experience in the Audio-Visual industry.
This experience is where you gained a strong understanding of Integrated AV systems which includes understanding their capabilities and using case scenarios to enable you to make informed decisions.
We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding and capability in the use of the software applications we use, AutoCAD and Visio.
You will ideally also have the ability to understand architectural & services drawings with 3D modelling experience a plus.
You must be able to demonstrate that you are a strong technical thinker, an excellent communicator, have finite attention to detail and great problem-solving skills.
Being able to manage your time with the ability to prioritise your work based on timelines, type of opportunities and job size, is a must.
