ABOUT THE ROLE As the Technical Services Manager, you will oversee the technical and commercial facets of project development, ensuring projects meet high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will drive innovation and operational excellence across all stages of project execution.
KEY DUTIES Collaborate with the Project Development Manager to support all aspects of project delivery. Supervise and coordinate phases of project development, including feasibility studies, QA/QC, document control, and contract administration. Deliver technical expertise to guide key project decisions and execution strategies. Strategic Execution: Manage project initiation tasks, including process and flowsheet development and required testing. Provide commercial oversight, ensuring projects are completed within contractual terms, budgets, and timelines. Align project goals with business objectives through effective planning and monitoring. Technical Assurance: Conduct design reviews to confirm compliance with engineering standards, governance protocols, and operational readiness. Partner with contractors and consultants to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and contractual obligations. Oversee construction QA/QC processes to meet project quality benchmarks. Risk and Performance Management: Develop tools to identify and mitigate project risks while capitalizing on opportunities. Continuously evaluate contractor performance and project competency to ensure delivery excellence. Leadership and Collaboration: Cultivate positive working relationships with all stakeholders, providing clear and timely updates on project progress and critical issues. Foster a strong ethical culture, leading by example and promoting professional integrity. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical and managerial skills. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Process/Engineering/Technical/Project Management/Science. Unrestricted Quarry Manager or First Class Manager (Desirable) Good understanding of contractual law New mining Acts and regulations training received SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 15+ years of experience work in mining industry. Experience working within multifunctional teams across engineering disciplines Proficiency with MS products including MS Project Sound experience in project/construction engineering Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including liaising with stakeholders and report writing; Ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation in the resolution of issues. Good understanding of the Mines Safety Act and Regulation; Good understanding of all relevant State and Federal legislation relevant to Mining Operations in Western Australia; Good understanding of applicable Health and Safety standards and codes of practice; Competent with use of PRONTO (desirable) BENEFITS Permanent full-time role with an immediate start.
