About the Role We are looking for a customer focused individual who can establish and maintain relationships with customers and deliver a positive customer experience to ensure customer retention. The primary role of this position is to facilitate the effective movement of Northline's customer's international freight.
Duties and responsibilities: Manage and deliver excellent customer service to a portfolio of clients. Manage import using CargoWise. Arrange bookings with shipping lines, co-loaders and agents to ensure shipments are executed in the most cost/time efficient manner. Monitor and update shipment status reports. Respond to queries from overseas offices, suppliers and clients. Support the sales and management team. Order management to a portfolio of clients. Assist in the preparation/negotiation of rates and quotations with customers. To be successful in the role you will have: Minimum of 5 years' experience, with specialised knowledge of the Global Freight Forwarding Industry. Previous exposure to the procedures and steps that need to be carried out to move cargo on an international scale. Customer service experience in freight forwarding. Import air and sea experience. Strong attention to detail. High level of computer literacy and experience in using CargoWise. Ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, agents, staff, and all stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be able to pick up the phone and make calls accordingly.
