We are a self-funded not-for-profit organization governed by a skills-based Board, operating across Tasmania with our main office in Moonah and two other centres in Launceston and Devonport.
Opportunities with our Board: A voluntary Board of Directors governs St John Ambulance (Tasmania) Inc. We are currently seeking to fill two Non-Executive Director vacancies. As a diverse and inclusive Board, we are looking for professionals who have:
An interest in, lived experience, or background in healthcare or first aid. An interest in serving the community through the work of St John. Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and advocacy skills. We are specifically seeking individuals with experience in finance and risk and/or marketing. Favourable consideration will also be given to those with legal, compliance, and youth program experience.
Your Role: As a Non-executive Director, you will:
Provide dynamic leadership and direction for an organization that cares about and makes a real difference for the Tasmanian community. Make a positive impact on our organizational performance by proactively contributing to shaping our culture, strategic focus, governance, financial sustainability, and the values of The Order of St John. Build relationships within the community that promote, support, and inform our work. Support us to continue to develop and advance by applying your varied experience and skills to guide St John through its next exciting phase.
