Job Description - Non-College Work-study | Accelerated Transfer Academy (STU001939) Hourly Rate: $14/hr.
The Accelerated Transfer Academy is an initiative housed in the Gator Success Institute, providing support to transfer students at UHD.
Responsibilities: Works closely with office staff and maintains confidentiality. Performs administrative duties and supports Accelerated Transfer Academy events. Provides peer coaching, tutoring, and mentoring to students individually or in groups through presentations, workshops, outreach activities, and/or other programming focused on learning strategies and student support and services. Co-facilitates student groups and/or workshops. Leads and/or assists senior staff with student events, projects, and/or the use or development of new student success and student engagement materials. Maintains up-to-date information on student services and resources. Responds to student questions in a professional and timely manner. Provides support to students in learning how to make good choices. Assists with retention efforts of students and creates student caseload reports. Assists students with registering for courses. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 30 completed credit hours. Must be a current UHD student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
