What a typical day will look like; Reporting to the Manager Planning and Environmental Health, this position plays a key leadership role to drive the delivery of a customer focussed, timely and professional statutory planning service with a strong culture of staff and community engagement and continuous improvement and innovation.
What you will bring to the role; Effective leadership with a positive impact on culture, customer experience and service performance An engaged and productive team created through a focus on performance and team development Outstanding customer and stakeholder outcomes achieved through effective stakeholder engagement and a collaborative one-team approach Ensuring planning applications are determined in accordance with the relevant legislative and policy framework, with a focus on quality and rigorous evidenced based decision-making, and within statutory timeframes An industry leading effective and efficient service, delivered through a continuous improvement culture, effective business processes and creative thinking and innovation. Key leadership skills; Experience in leading hybrid teams Highly developed Emotional Intelligence Demonstrated experience in leading and supporting the health and wellbeing of self and others Enjoys leading and managing staff, including demonstrated experience in implementing cultural and engagement strategies to drive a great employee experience Adaptive and flexible leadership.
