About the role
Position: Night Shift Transport Supervisor
Location: North Fremantle
Status: Full-time
Duties
Liaise with customers to coordinate consignment deliveries and cargo loading plans
Plan shift transport and manning to ensure delivery and receipt of cargo is completed in accordance with allocated timeslots and customer/client requirements
Allocate jobs to drivers throughout the shift to achieve operational requirements ensuring customer specific instructions are upheld
Communicate effectively with all drivers, customers and sites
Timely response to issues raised by major clients with courtesy at all times
Maintain operational records including document and POD management so as to facilitate invoicing
Work within Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations in all areas of role, including Standard & Basic Fatigue Management frameworks and Permit regimes.
Maintain databases relating to vehicle maintenance suppliers & contractors
Coordinating maintenance appointments and producing the relevant job documentation
Assist Operations Manager with Project delivery
Perform ad hoc duties as requested by your Manager
Working as a team member across all sections of the business
Act within company and legislative SHE requirements at all times and promote safe working practices across all departments and teams
About You
An understanding of OSOM Transport and relevant Permit regimes and equipment
Sound computer knowledge and able to pick up new computer systems quickly
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable, team player, with a can-do attitude
Flexible approach with strong business acumen
Strong data entry and accuracy
Ability to multitask and prioritise projects and activities
Outstanding attention to detail, time management, and organisation skills
Focused and compliant with all safe work practice
Previous experience in a Heavy Haulage or Project Transport type role
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint skills preferred
Email management, Data Entry and Digital Calendars skills preferred
