We are seeking a passionate health care professional in a full-time capacity to join our team as a Nurse Unit Manager in Nhill Acute !
West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality hospital care, residential aged care, disability services and community health facilities to more than 22,000 people in the West Wimmera region.
ABOUT THE ROLE/S: The Nurse Unit Manager provides oversight for all nursing staff and completes administrative tasks to ensure the health care facility is running smoothly. The Nurse Unit Manager coordinates staffing and all needs related to the facility. The successful candidate will need strong communication skills, diplomacy and the ability to take leadership of any situation. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Essential:
Effective communication and organisational skills Registered Nurse with current Victorian Practicing Certificate and extensive ward management nursing experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Excellent understanding of EQuIP criteria (acute and community care facilities). Desirable:
Hold or working towards a tertiary qualification in management. Post Graduate qualification KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To continuously improve health service delivery through effective management of the Nhill Acute Care Areas and Urgent Care Centre. To support the organisation to deliver quality services. To enhance the organisational corporate capability and culture. To strengthen relationships with customers to enhance the image of the Service. Handle all supervisory duties of the unit, overseeing Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses.
