NAC is based 35km north-west of Toowoomba and plays a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

About the role: As NAC continues to progress, we are inviting expressions of interest for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join the Mobile Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Working a 5/2 roster and reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the mine's technical systems & continuous improvements operate safely efficiently and effectively.
What you will do: Actively develop the people, processes, and systems to ensure safe, efficient and consistent maintenance activities on site Manage Contractors within the technical systems & continuous improvement areas to ensure effective and efficient service delivery and compliance Coordinate & plan for all aspects of continuous improvement, which includes asset management strategies, KPI target areas for improvement, system upgrades, budgeting, life cycles, purchasing, maintenance and disposals Lead by example and comply with New Hope Group's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times To be considered for these opportunities you will bring: Mechanical Trade Qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering fields Proven experience as a Maintenance Coordinator or in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry sector Experience in budgeting, cost management and continuous improvement processes Experience in the use of Electronic Reporting Platforms and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (Or willing to obtain) Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Letourneau machines Queensland driver's licence (manual) Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable) To be successful in this role, it is important that you have: A drive for continuous improvement and contribute to innovation Strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks Strong safety mindset with ability to actively identify and report hazards/incidents Excellent communication skills Enthusiasm to positively contribute to site culture and work as a team High attention to detail and precision in executing tasks Ability to work well as a team and independently Ability to undergo and pass a coal board medical Ability to work a 5:2 roster (Mon-Friday) The ability to contribute to and work as part of team in a fast-paced environment What working at NAC offers: Excellent remuneration package including annual bonus scheme Discounted health insurance (Medibank), New Hope Smart Saver program Novated Lease / Salary packaging Fitness Subsidy and Purchased Leave Programs Working for an organisation who is committed to the prosperity of the local community Career development through structured programs and diversified on the job work experiences With an opportunity to live and work locally in the Darling Downs (Toowoomba or Western Downs regions) you will be committed to delivering health and safety leadership that promotes the success of the NAC site.
