About you Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a Lead or Principal Piping Engineer or a Senior Mechanical Engineer (ready to step into a Lead level role) with a wealth of experience, predominantly in the Petrochemical and Oil and Gas industries. The ideal candidate will have the ability to independently execute projects as well as lead and oversee the development of a growing team of people.
As well as being highly experienced in technical piping engineering, you will also have a good understanding of pressure vessels and storage and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, on small/medium size brownfield projects.
About the role We are looking for a Lead Piping Engineer , capable of working with a close-knit team of engineers, designers and project engineers to deliver projects to Verbrec's and clients' standards. As a professional engineer you will offer:
Minimum 10 years' experience in the design of piping systems. In-depth understanding of piping design codes such as ASME B31.3 and AS 4041. Experience to carry out piping engineering design and documentation from initiation through to construction stage. Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy or manufacturing industries. Experience in piping stress modelling and using software packages such as AutoPIPE or other design programs. Experience generating engineering estimates and quotations. Ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines. Degree or equivalent experience/qualification is mandatory. Registered professional engineer in Queensland (RPEQ).
