About the Ngaanyatjarra Council
Welcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert.
Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres.

Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.
Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services.
It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.

The Opportunity:
As the Learning and Development Advisor for the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group, you will play a key role in designing and delivering tailored training and development programmes that support the growth and capability of our workforce.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure that our training initiatives align with NCG's values and strategic objectives, empowering employees to excel in their roles and serve the needs of our communities effectively.

Your role will focus on both accredited and non-accredited training, covering a wide range of areas to enhance skills across our diverse services.
You will partner with leaders from various departments to identify training needs, create impactful programmes, and facilitate learning sessions that equip staff with the tools they need to thrive.
Your work will help shape the future of the organisation, contributing to NCG's mission of keeping Yarnangu strong on Country.

About You:
You are an experienced Learning and Development professional with a strong background in designing, developing, and delivering training programmes.
You have a proven ability to identify skills gaps, develop tailored learning solutions, and create engaging training experiences that empower teams to perform at their best.

You bring a minimum of 2 years' experience in the L&D field, with a focus on supporting diverse teams and stakeholders.
You are highly adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, community-focused environment, where the ability to collaborate with various groups is essential.
Your ability to deliver training in a culturally sensitive manner, aligned with the values and objectives of NCG, is key to your success in this role.

With a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, you are skilled in a range of learning methods and approaches, from in-person sessions to virtual training.
You thrive under pressure, with excellent organisational skills that allow you to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The Ngaanyatjarra Council Group provides key services such as community development, health, housing, essential utilities, cultural land management, construction, and transport.
These services cater to the specific needs of the Ngaanyatjarra people, promoting sustainable growth while preserving their cultural heritage.
