They're looking for an outcome-driven, results-orientated Operations and Asset Management professional with 10 years of operational mining experience with expertise in capital expenditure, cost analysis, project estimation, planning, site permits and management while driving continuous improvement on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Oversee asset management strategies to optimise lifecycle performance and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of industrial systems and other site services. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement engineering solutions for hardrock mining projects. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans. Manage capital expenditure requests, costings and tender estimation. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and asset management processes. Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations and help drive new business opportunities. Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian standards and industry best practices.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline). Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering and operational leadership roles, including project and asset management, within the mining sector. Proven track record in managing complex projects, particularly in hardrock mining environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams. Deep understanding of engineering principles, asset lifecycle management, and maintenance practices. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility for registration is highly regarded.
