Casual role$33/h - $37/hLocation is Northern and Eastern Metro MelbourneAbout the role: This role is for a Newborn Hearing Screener/Administrative Assistant with the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program. The successful candidate will be employed as required by The Royal Children's Hospital to conduct newborn hearing screening in maternity hospitals located in Northern and Eastern Metropolitan Melbourne.
Responsibilities of the role: Carrying out hearing screens on newborn babies following VIHSP protocols and proceduresCommunicating accurately and sensitively with parentsPreparing and maintaining both paper and electronic documentation, including navigation across a number of IT platformsKeeping accurate records of screen results including computer data entryTravel to other VIHSP locationsTo be successful in the role, you will have: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and professional demeanourHigh attention to detailExcellent organisational, time management and prioritising skillsComputer skills, including capacity to navigate a number of IT programsCapacity to achieve excellent newborn hearing screening competence during the in-person onsite training programIf you think you possess the right skills and experience, we encourage you to apply on our website now!
