The Associate Director of Students is a proactive leader focusing on the effective day-to-day operation of the School; planning for and communicating organisational and administrative aspects along with community events in a timely manner with team members, students, and families.
Seeking an experienced and passionate Educator to join our Primary School's Leadership teamRole commencing January 2025Ongoing Teacher Contract/3 years Fixed Term Leadership ContractAbout the Role A major responsibility is the creation of a safe, inclusive, and welcoming feel to the School for students, their families, and visitors. The Associate Director of Students will know each student, their stories and backgrounds, and engage with parents in a supportive, compassionate, and empathetic manner. This role assists in maintaining learning environments that spark students' curiosity and desire to learn.
The Associate Director of Students works in support of the Director of Students to embed and uphold whole school processes and policies specifically related to operational, governance, child protection, work health and safety, and student duty of care matters.
There is a FTE load for teaching associated with this role.

A relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualificationDemonstrated leadership experienceProven experience in developing innovative academic pathways to achieve outstanding academic results for all studentsProven experience in the provision of Pastoral Care to effectively meet the personal, social, emotional, and academic needs of studentsProven experience in managing complex behavioural issues effectivelyProven experience in supporting the positive mental health of all studentsThe ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff and lead othersPYP experience or an understanding of Inquiry pedagogyThe ability to implement initiatives, deliver projects, and manage change effectivelyAdministrative and organisational skillsCommunication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to the full life of an Independent school and a willingness to engage in School activities out of regular hours.All team members at CGS are required to have:
