About the role We are currently recruiting for a Network OT Senior Specialist.
The Network OT (Operational Technology) Senior Specialist – Telecommunications is a highly skilled technical position responsible for the day to day performance and operation of the Telecommunications OT network within agreed business service levels.
The position is also responsible for the detailed design, implementation and documentation of changes and enhancements to Essential Energy's Telecommunications OT assets.
These assets include the voice radio network, field SCADA and Protection communication systems and all associated supporting systems and integration requirements.
The Network OT Senior Specialist – Telecommunications is required to plan, design, configure, commission and monitor complex telecommunications networks This role will be based within the Essential Energy operational footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
About You You have extensive experience in communications roles within large, geographically diverse environments.
Your expertise includes project management and advanced technical skills in telecommunications design technologies and best practices, such as remote data communications, voice radio networks, interfacing, and supporting systems.
You possess a deep understanding of the challenges associated with telecommunication asset lifecycle management across vast regions.
Your knowledge extends to the infrastructure required to support telecommunications, including remote data communications, voice radio networks, interfacing, fibre optic cabling, monitoring, and EPR zones.
You are well-versed in regulatory, statutory, and industry standards, ensuring compliance and quality outcomes in all your projects.
You excel in operating and designing telecommunications infrastructure asset changes, upgrades, and enhancements across all operational technology areas.
You are adept at creating, reviewing, and implementing processes and procedures for OT network operations and design.
Your skills in conducting enterprise audits, preparing detailed analysis reports, and providing actionable recommendations are exceptional.
You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with key stakeholders, customers, and peak bodies.
Your problem-solving abilities enable you to make sound decisions in line with company policies and best practices.
Additionally, you have a talent for coaching, mentoring, and providing technical advice to colleagues and other business units.
Your proficiency in computer operations and relevant business systems further supports your role.
