Find real purpose with meaningful work as a Network Incident Investigations Lead where you will be the point of escalation, leading and facilitating root cause analysis and incident investigations to implement effective improvement initiatives across the AusNet Networks.
Your expertise will be critical in successfully identifying root causes and actions covering all parts of the business. You will cultivate successful engagement with internal and external stakeholders to build productive and trusting relationships.
With a 3/2 hybrid split (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Asset Management Team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
Deliver complex work activities, leading asset and network related incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend preventative actions. Collaborate with business units to gather information from stakeholders and apply knowledge and theory to lead the development of solutions. Deal with technical issues which have broad business implications. Take ownership of process improvements initiatives, specification and standard improvements and develop new methods of practice. Provide updates and investigation reports, including non-standard engineering solutions. Perform data and system analysis to identify repeat trends and share insights and learnings with Network teams. Act as point of contact for AEMO power system incident investigations and other Distribution Businesses relevant to incident investigations. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
Proven lengthy electrical engineering/operational experience. Utility, energy and/or asset management experience – preferred. Exposure to and understanding of root cause analysis methodologies and demonstrated expertise in incident investigations. Ability to effectively navigate emergency and catastrophic situations, providing sound advice for appropriate courses of corrective action. Degree qualified in electrical engineering. Skilled in achieving business goals through effective stakeholder engagement. Proficient in leading teams to achieving objectives, excelling in strategic thinking and solving complex problems.
