About the role

The Network Engineer oversees the design, deployment, upkeep, and management of solutions ranging from basic to advanced, ensuring they effectively meet the organization's and clients' requirements.

Responsibilities: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to resolve incidents within the technical environment.Handle technical provisioning and configure elements to complete service requests.Create technical designs and documentation, including network diagrams, test plans, and reports, for both new and existing IT infrastructure.Work closely with the team and stakeholders to develop and implement technical solutions, as well as establish policies, procedures, and training plans for operations and maintenance.Show initiative, take ownership, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization to drive innovative solutions and resolve incidents. Serve as a subject matter expert in various forums.Provide on-call after-hours support and participate in scheduled out-of-hours work.Carry out other duties and responsibilities as directed by your Manager, in accordance with the Work Level Standards for this role.Essential Criteria: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.Strong expertise in IP networking system design and fault analysis (certifications are a plus).Extensive hands-on experience across network design and daily operational tasks.Senior-level experience with IP/MPLS networking in utility, carrier, service provider environments, or transforming complex enterprise networks such as cloud migration.Strong experience with vendor platforms like Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Aruba, Nokia, and Azure Cloud.In-depth knowledge of network security and familiarity with current industry trends.Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.High level of self-motivation, accountability, and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions.Strong grasp of current industry standards and frameworks such as ITIL, FCAPS, Agile, etc.Experience working in the utilities industry is a plus.
