A new opportunity to join Ventia's Transurban Contract as a Network Closure Supervisor based in Brisbane. The role reports to the Network Closure Superintendent and requires you to work mainly nights (Monday – Thursday 19h00-05h00), and flexibility to work days and weekends (mainly Sunday nights) for reactive and urgent works. If you are an experienced supervisor with road asset maintenance experience and traffic control we would love to hear from you.

As the Network Closure Supervisor, you will work with the Closure Superintendent to prepare closure planning in line with the closure calendar, scheduled and reactive maintenance works as a one network approach implementing efficiencies and synergy outcomes.
You will be the point of contact and contractual supervisor at night for the delivery of maintenance works in closures (tunnel and lane closures on motorways) and will be deployable across the full tunnel and open roads network depending on closure calendar (tunnel assets) and lane closures (mobile and static) on the open roads.
Providing supervision within the closure team to ensure project requirements and deliverables are achieved and ensure maintenance activities meet safety, quality, cost, profit, time and environmental specifications.
You will also manage traffic management performance ensuring effective outcomes across the network, lead and direct traffic management subcontractors (including their approval and selection) and monitor and review the Traffic Management Plan with SME support, and recommendations to other supporting project plans.
The role is also responsible to provide coordination and assistance to Incident Response / Emergency Authorities in closure requirements and transition to maintenance activities; and establishing and maintaining clear communication in relation to technical issues with key stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to HS&E through behaviours, visible and accountable leadership and active monitoring of the workplace, understanding contractual KPIs and the ability to understand client requirements and contractual obligations while developing and executing strategies to ensure compliance, minimise risk and drive continuous improvements.
As a supervisor you must have sound people management skills including conflict management, providing mentorship and training and the ability to influence people to have positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors and third parties.
