Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive **Administrator & HR Relations Officer** to join our team.
This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our organisation by providing administrative support and managing human resource functions, staff management, and employee relations specific to the NDIS sector.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in general business upkeep, hiring, employee performance management, and addressing staffing issues.
This is a 5-day-a-week role.
We offer flexible working conditions, including 1 day per week working from home.
Position Description: Key Responsibilities
Everyday Upkeep:
Answer phone calls and respond promptly to inquiries from staff, participants, stakeholders, and third-party organizations.
Reply to emails in a professional and timely manner, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Maintain organised records of correspondence and follow up as required.
Rostering Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and adjust staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
Address last-minute scheduling changes, including finding replacements and resolving conflicts.
Coordinate with staff to confirm availability and manage leave requests.
Use rostering software (ShiftCare) to update schedules and communicate changes effectively to the team.
Compliance and Policy Management:
Ensure that all HR practices and policies are compliant with NDIS standards, relevant regulations, and legislative requirements.
Implement and review HR policies tailored to the NDIS framework.
Recruitment, Hiring, and Onboarding:
Manage recruitment processes, including advertising, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new staff.
Ensure employees are integrated effectively into the team and trained in NDIS standards.
Employee Relations:
Handle staff conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary matters in a professional and timely manner.
Foster a positive work environment aligned with the organisation's values.
Staff Management:
Oversee day-to-day staff operations to ensure all team members adhere to company policies.
Conduct regular performance reviews, manage wage discussions, and develop improvement plans as needed.
Organisational Development:
Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with organisational goals, contributing to workforce planning and development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Administration/HR management role, with exposure to the NDIS sector or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of NDIS regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
