Job Description Join us in modernising our client's COBOL applications! You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing complex COBOL programs and integration services, ensuring they are not only functional but also elegant and efficient. Collaborate with talented teams, including business analysts and other developers, to translate intricate requirements into innovative technical solutions.
Embrace agile methodologies to deliver projects quickly and effectively, adapting to changing requirements and prioritising tasks to maximise impact. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to maintain alignment and foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications Core COBOL: Strong proficiency in COBOL programming, including syntax, data structures, and file handling. Mainframe Technologies: Extensive experience with mainframe environments (z/OS), JCL, VSAM, CICS, and PL/I. Database Management: Solid understanding of database concepts, SQL, IDMS, and IBM Db2. Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., REXX, Python). Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
