Seeking an experienced WHS Manager with a preference for FMCG and Hospitality.
The CompanyOur client is a dynamic and rapidly growing enterprise with a strong presence in the food industry. Their operations span restaurants, food manufacturing, corporate offices, and supply chain networks across New South Wales and Victoria. About the RoleWe are seeking a National WHS Manager who will be pivotal in shaping the company's safety culture. This role requires a proactive leader to develop and implement WHS strategies, ensuring compliance, fostering resilience, and driving continuous improvement across diverse operational environments.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesStrategy and Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain a robust WHS strategy and framework across restaurants, food manufacturing sites, and corporate offices.Policy Compliance and Coaching: Review policies for compliance with WHS legislation and standards, and coach stakeholders to align with best practices.Risk Management and Resilience Planning: Develop a flexible crisis response framework and long-term resilience strategies for potential crises, including global health challenges and food safety incidents.Training and Awareness: Develop engaging WHS training, promote awareness, and collaborate with managers to resolve safety issues and foster a network of safety champions.System Implementation and Management: Introduce a WHS management system to improve reporting, audits, and compliance. Act as the primary custodian, ensuring meticulous incident recording, user access management, and system updates.Technology Integration: Leverage technology to enhance WHS practices and incident reporting, working closely with IT to create a proactive safety management system.Leadership and Governance: Engage with executive leadership to provide strategic insights, including policy reviews, safety performance updates, and governance alignment with the company's objectives.Audits and Reporting: Conduct workplace audits, manage compliance reporting requirements, distribute updated safety information, and monitor non-conformances.To be Successful in this Role, You Will Have:Proven experience as a WHS Manager, ideally within the hospitality, QSR, or restaurant industries.Comfort with a startup role, taking ownership of WHS responsibilities with minimal initial support and building a team as the company grows.A hands-on approach with a willingness to work across diverse environments, including restaurants, food manufacturing sites, and corporate offices.Tertiary qualifications in WHS or an equivalent level of professional experience in a comparable environment.Experience working in fast-paced, hands-on environments with excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to engage with all levels of leadership and a diverse workforce.BenefitsThe opportunity to establish and shape the WHS function within a rapidly growing QSR business.Financial backing to expand the Safety team and drive impactful initiatives.Competitive salary with an additional 10% bonus.The support of executive leadership, including the COO, CPO, and CFO, in driving WHS excellence.For an inspiring leader passionate about safety and eager to make a tangible impact, this is a fantastic long-term opportunity to thrive in a rewarding role.
