The role
We are looking for a National Trust Accountant to join our growing national firm. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be an integral member of our finance team. This is an integral role to the success of our firm and its operations with the successful applicant taking ownership of the national coordination and compliance of Trust administration.
Located in Adelaide, our finance team services the firm nationally. This role will see you being a brand ambassador of the firm's values of collaboration, collegiality, respect, innovation, and dedication through role delivery.
Leading this function in collaboration with the CFO, you will be responsible for:
Daily activities including trust to office and trust to trust transfers, reconciliations, responding to queries directly or through the ticketing system.
Assisting auditors from Law Societies for all offices.
Preparing monthly and ad hoc reporting.
Identifying and coordinating trust-related projects to ensure best practice.
Maintaining key relationships both externally and internally.
Your helpful team members will help onboard you with our systems and processes. You will bring to our team:
Significant experience in Trust Accounting in a law firm.
Knowledge of trust law and related best practice.
A high degree of proactivity and practical problem solving.
Effective communication skills including confidence and maturity when communicating directly with senior stakeholders and clients.
Ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision, while working in a supportive team environment.
Resilient, positive, and energetic attitude while being professional and focusing on service delivery.
Organised and efficient, with a keen eye for detail.
