About the role
We are currently seeking a National Senior Information Manager to join our Corporate Information Technology team. Applications across all states will be considered.
This role will act as the Data Custodian for the hub and as the primary Information Manager for all central functions, ensuring the security, integrity, and accessibility of data assets. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities
Establish roles and responsibilities for the information management team, working closely with the relevant Functional Lead(s) to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Work collaboratively with regional counterparts to prepare, agree upon, and communicate Information Standards and Methods & Procedures, including the documentation process.
Ensure that Data Classification is consistently applied across projects and central functions and is used appropriately within the central functions (shared services).
Deliver training to data stewards on data classification, labelling, and data leakage prevention, and provide system support and training for Microsoft Purview.
Identify requirements and business cases for new or updated business data classifications and govern the process to introduce new labels into the business.
Reporting of Data Classification changes to Data Stewards
Data Access Management: Oversee data access permissions, to monitor and respond to unauthorized activities
Maintain a security-minded approach to data, ensuring correct access rights are in place for an appropriate period
Data Security Oversight: Implement and manage data security solutions to protect sensitive information from insider threats and cyberattacks
About you
As a successful candidate, you have
Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention & Detection technologies
Knowledge of data security principles and practices, including data encryption, access control, and data backup and recovery
Understanding of data protection regulations and industry best practices
Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to data management
Proficiency in documenting data governance rules and procedure
