Leading Australian owned International Freight Forwarder providing extensive logistics services seeking a National Sales Manager who is responsible for ensuring all sales locations to meet or exceed projected sales targets by identifying and following up on opportunities to expand and increase business.

Your role will be to contribute to company sales objectives and be responsible for leading the sales team and build long-term client relationships.

The company is well structured with excellent rates and service ability within market to assist you and team to deliver successful results.

Having external tools and providers to handle back end work to enable you and team to focus on business development.

Create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead nationwide direct reports toward achievement of KPI's & Corporate Sales Objectives.
Develop and implement a strategic sales target to meet the businesses annual performance.
Research, identify and pursue new business opportunities and prospects as well as maintaining existing accounts.
Interact with sales team to develop sales plans and strategies.
Research and undertake marketing campaigns suitable to business needs where necessary supervising staff members in completion of tasks.
Attend trade shows are required.
Provide sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning.
Manage and prepare to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Provide weekly sales reports and other analysis reports relating to sales, volumes and freight cost as required.

This position reports directly to the Managing Director.

Ensure all direct employees adhere to departmental policy, process, procedure and work instruction, ensuring all departmental policies processes, procedure and work instructions are kept up to date via regular monthly auditing.
Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies:
Proven work experience as a National Sales Manager.
Experience managing a high performance sales team.
Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics.
Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
Strong communication and team management skills.
Delegation skills according to department needs.
Excellent work ethic and impeccable integrity.
Problem-solving skills to analysing past and current performance and recommending objectives to improve productivity and profitability.
