The opportunity The National Manager Wound Prevention and Management will provide organisational leadership, advocacy and oversight in optimising skin integrity, wound prevention and management programs across Regis Aged Care Homes and Services.
This role combines clinical leadership, education, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes for residents and clients.
The role will contribute at an operational level by providing expert advice to other Regis teams to ensure the delivery of personal, safe, effective and integrated care in line with best practice and sustainable management of the business.
Working with and through other members of the Strategy Care Excellence and Operations team, the role is responsible for delivering capability within our carer and nursing workforce.
The National Manager Wound Prevention and Management will be the company's subject matter expert, supporting high quality practice, and ensuring an evidence-based, best practice approach with effective risk mitigation strategies is in place.
The important role you'll play Provide clinical skill and expertise to ensure systems and processes are in place to support the delivery of evidence-based, quality care across Regis Homes.Support clinical compliance and safety, and manage risk as it relates to wound prevention and management.Support education and research across Regis related to skin optimisation, wound prevention and management practices.Maintain a high standard of care through the promotion of quality improvement systems, including surveillance and auditing.Ensure the provision and implementation of safe and effective wound prevention and management.Skilfully lead and support projects related to wound prevention and management.Deliver excellent customer service, contribute to team culture and positive working relationships.Contribute to a safe, compliant living and working environment.What you'll bring to the role Current, satisfactory NDIS check.Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Postgraduate qualification relating to wound prevention and management.Relevant clinical experience in wound prevention and management.Previous experience in a related role.Demonstrated knowledge of current local and national wound prevention and management issues.A commitment to ongoing education and development for all staff within the multi-disciplinary team based on wound prevention and management principles.Demonstrated experience in undertaking quality improvement activities through the promotion of changes to practice.Ability to utilise knowledge of current evidence-based practice and apply problem-solving strategies to identify and resolve issues as they relate to wound prevention and management.Ability to prepare data with comprehensive analysis and succinctly report to appropriate stakeholders.Advanced computer skills including programs in the Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated experience engaging, communicating and managing relationships with a diversity of stakeholders across a national organisation and within a matrix environment.To work in residential aged care, you will need to provide satisfactory background checks, supply an NDIS worker screening clearance, current year flu vaccination, and certification proof.
