To support the Chief People Officer with our 2030 Strategy, we are seeking a National Manager - People Support to join the team.
The National Manager - People Support will be responsible for the delivery of operational people services across genU. Overseeing a team of P&C professionals who work across payroll, people systems, reporting & analytics, employee queries and reward processes, you will design and deliver contemporary and compliant methods that drive positive employee experiences. Key responsibilities of the role include:
Strategic Development: Develop and implement people operations strategies to enhance genU's reputation as a premier workplace and actively contribute to overall people strategy.

Team Leadership: Lead and empower the employee query resolution team (AssistU) and the People Support team (approx. 15) to deliver exceptional service and support across all HR functions.

Expert Guidance: Provide expert advice on complex people operations matters and prepare high-level Executive and Board papers as necessary.

Operational Excellence: Ensure accurate and compliant payroll management while optimising internal processes for efficient P&C administration.

Systems and Analytics: Collaborate to innovate and enhance people systems and utilise HRIS to drive data-driven decision-making and reporting frameworks.

About You: Our ideal National Manager - People Support will showcase a deep understanding of people operations and employee lifecycle practices. You will bring a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset with the capability to influence and drive change.
Essential Requirements:
10+ years experience in a similar role;
Experience overseeing a complex payroll function, including working knowledge of operational payroll practices, employment taxes and reporting obligations;
Total reward framework management and design experience;
Strong understanding of job evaluation methodologies;
Demonstrated ability to utilise employee data and insights to support business improvement;
Sound knowledge of employment legislation;
Advanced organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a range of matters/projects;
Resilience, adaptability and confidence to lead through periods of significant change;
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a geographically dispersed team;
High level of computer literacy with sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (SuccessFactors preferred);
NDIS Worker Screening Check, or a willingness to obtain;
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion, or a willingness to complete.
