National Linehaul Manager Location: Victoria, NSW, or Queensland, Australia Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits A leading logistics company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Linehaul Manager to oversee and enhance their nationwide freight operations. This role offers the flexibility to be based in Victoria, NSW, or Queensland and is an opportunity to join a growing organization focused on delivering exceptional logistics solutions.
About the Role: In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the company's national linehaul operations, ensuring that freight is transported efficiently, safely, and on time across Australia. Your role will involve overseeing contractor management, optimizing routes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving the profitability of the network.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong operational mindset, capable of managing both the day-to-day logistics and long-term improvements of the network. You'll be instrumental in identifying and implementing innovations to enhance service levels and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimize the national linehaul network across multiple states, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.Lead a geographically dispersed team, ensuring operational efficiency across the entire network.Maintain strict compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR) legislation and other relevant safety and transport regulations.Oversee recruitment and management of contractors, ensuring strong performance and adherence to company standards.Continuously review and improve operational processes to enhance network performance and profitability.Drive on-time performance through effective route planning, resource allocation, and contractor coordination.Report regularly on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and areas for improvement.Collaborate with internal teams to meet and exceed customer expectations, ensuring service quality.Embed a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence within the team.Skills and Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience in national logistics or linehaul operations, with a strong understanding of transport management.Proven track record of optimizing transport networks and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and profitability.Experience working within a 3PL or 4PL environment is highly advantageous.Thorough knowledge of the Australian logistics landscape, including contractor availability and compliance requirements.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational improvement.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing remote teams.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and prepare reports.A proactive, results-driven attitude, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving environment.What's on Offer: Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits.Flexibility to be based in Victoria, NSW, or Queensland.A dynamic, growth-oriented company offering opportunities for career advancement.A collaborative and supportive work environment where your contributions are valued.Access to innovative technology and tools that enhance operational performance.If you're a seasoned National Linehaul Manager looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced and evolving logistics company, we want to hear from you.
