Your future role Austin has an exciting permanent full-time employment opportunity for a dedicated, experienced professional to be our National HR Leader at our Head Office in Kewdale.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role will work with the Australian business unit Senior Leadership Team to provide both strategic and operational people advice and support, as well as the delivery of key initiatives and projects.
You will be responsible for liaising effectively with both Austin's corporate HR leadership and colleagues in other Austin business units to help deliver on Austin's global objectives.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain an HR Strategy and Plan that is aligned to the Business Unit and Global HR Strategies. Manage the Business Unit demands and related HR processes to support the business Australia wide. Coach and mentor HR Advisors in providing advice to business unit leaders, managers & supervisors in the application of appropriate HR responses to specific issues such as work performance, disciplinary issues, termination and changing employment conditions & providing expert advice on escalated issues. Enhance existing framework and HR systems, whilst complying with external legal requirements and internal policies. Lead payroll team to achieve the completion of the process within tight deadlines while complying with external audits requirements and legal requirements. Provide advice and support to management to improve culture, engagement and performance of their teams. Ensure that organisational training and development initiatives are linked to the business' short, medium and long-term strategies as well as employees' individual needs. Accurately prepare and deliver HR related reports to government, management and corporate function when required. Propose change management and communication initiatives when important transitions are required within the business. Guarantee compliance with HR related legislation and requirements. Skills & experience A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management A minimum of 5 year's experience working as a HR Manager or Senior Leader, ideally across multiple sites and States Experience in leadership/management roles leading HR teams, HR operations and strategic initiatives Previous management, interpretation, and guidance experience relating to legislation, awards, policies, and best practice Sound knowledge of payroll processes with the capacity to lead the completion of payroll within tight deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills, with a pleasant 'can do' attitude, and the ability to act independently and work collaboratively with a team Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and provide exemplary customer service We offer the successful candidate Competitive salary and employee support Supportive, dynamic, professional, and evolving company Flexible working arrangements Employee benefit scheme with amazing discounts at major retailers etc. Growth and career opportunities working in a global organisation At Austin Engineering our people are valued as vital members of our diverse and expanding workforce.
