Key Responsibilities: Co-ordination of the RSM Australia reporting to RSM International of quality inspection results (across all service lines), and leadership of any firm-wide initiatives to address quality issuesLead strategic initiatives for the implementation of initiatives relating to audit quality, including day-to-day responsibility for the requirements of ASQM 1 Quality Control, including RSM Australia's monitoring and remediation programmeOverall responsibility for maintenance of the firm's audit methodology, manuals and related policies, Influencing, leading or participating in programs of work to improve audit quality, including creation of tools and guidance for the assurance practice that promote both quality and efficiency initiatives.Root cause analysis reviews and subsequent development of an Audit Quality Action PlanProvision of audit support to audit teams, including responding to consultations from auditors in relation to the application of audit standards, methodology, and risk related mattersMaintenance of registrations and associated compliance requirements for the jurisdictions in which RSM Australia is registered, currently including USA, Canada, UK and GermanyDevelop, facilitate and present training and self-study materials, including drafting of learning objectives, course materials, case studies) and practice aides by serving as content author and/or technical reviewer.Participation in RSM International activities and sub-committees relating to audit methodology and quality, and RSM International responses to Exposure Drafts and Comment LettersParticipate in external outreach activities (e.g., Institute working groups, ASIC liaison, and other industry events as appropriate), draft comment letters to professional bodies, or assist in RSM International projects to do so.Support Audit Teams and the National Technical Director in quality inspections and reviews, including ASIC, CAANZ, CPA Australia, RSM International, and overseas regulators or professional bodies as required.Development of methodology, quality and policy initiatives for other assurance areas, particularly those related to ESG.May also participate in provision of technical and audit quality consulting services to external parties, primarily State Audit Offices. Education Requirements:

Completed CA or equivalent Demonstrated Experience & Attributes

Essential

Experience in a senior Audit Quality role at Director level or equivalentExcellent knowledge of International Standards on AuditingStrong presentation and communication skillsExperience in audit quality activities including development of audit methodology, file inspections, root cause analysis and similar activitiesExperience dealing with regulatory reviews and engagementStrong risk assessment skills and people management skills, and confidence in providing feedback and challenging in a constructive and professional wayAbility to work autonomously and be self motivatedAbility to maintain high professional and ethical standards under pressure
Preferred

Experience with Caseware is not essential but is a significant advantage
Previous exposure to ESG assurance engagements, and an enthusiasm for developing assurance policy and tools in this area
