With a small established team across 2-3 of our offices in Queensland, we are looking for the right leader to take our growth in this specialist services area to the next level.You will work closely with many of our other 21 Technical Discipline Managers across the Built Environment, Energy, Infrastructure, Mining, Power, and Manufacturing/Industry sectors. We pride ourselves on our One Team Culture, which provides a collaborative working environment, and you will be joining a team of technical experts including some of the leading practitioners in APAC.ResponsibilitiesThis is a national leadership role, providing the opportunity for the right candidate to grow and influence the direction of our Water & Wastewater team.You will be responsible for leading activities in the Water & Wastewater discipline and collaboration across our specialist SLR network to ensure successful project delivery, sustainable business performance and motivated staff, which includes:Technical leadership of staff and projects, ensuring innovation, excellence, and qualityClose collaboration with our multi-discipline teams of specialist engineers, scientists, and plannersLeading and contributing to winning work by identifying and converting opportunities into projects through existing and targeted client relationshipsDeveloping, facilitating, and enhancing relationships between our internal and external clients and SLR team membersBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships across public and private sectorsAchieving excellent financial performance through application of sound project management techniques and strong project governanceGrowing a sustainable high-performing business, commensurate with market conditions, opportunities and business expectations.Managing workload through effective resource management skills, both within the team and working with and supporting other technical discipline managersDemonstrated knowledge of relevant State and National legislation and policies, standards and guidelines; providing advice and assistance on projects regarding best principles and practicesDemonstrating a commitment to your team member's professional growth and development through active and regular engagementExperienceOur ideal candidate will have 15+ years industry experience, be a strong leader and have:Tertiary qualifications in Civil / Environmental/Mechanical Engineering or other relevant degree. Post-graduate qualifications are advantageousChartered member of Engineers Australia and/or RPEQ/RPEV.A strong track record of providing input into broader specialist servicesComprehensive knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements, industry guidelines and standards and how these integrate within the water and wastewater industry.Demonstrated experience leading and managing consultants to achieve corporate goals and objectives.Demonstrated experience across a diverse range of sectors, including Mining, Infrastructure, Built Environment, Industry, Oil and Gas; and EnergyDemonstrated commercial acumen, good organisation skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and technical report writing skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and ability to work effectively within a teamA strong track record in building, nurturing and maintaining ongoing client relationshipsDemonstrated experience in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and documentation to meet industry standards and ensure technical excellence in delivery.Our BenefitsWe are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
