Our clients include SA Water, Water Corporation, Sydney Water, and SEQ Water.
About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced National Contracts Manager to join our growing team and can be based in either Western or South Australia.
As the successful applicant, you will prepare contract management tools, support the contract administrators, and review, support and/or manage head contracts and associated subcontracts.
You will work effectively with all stakeholders and direct reports to deliver best project commercial outcomes.
You will also lead a team of contract administrators and specialists.
More specifically you will: Develop and implement a contract management policy and all related tools and templates.Develop and implement principles to perform a systematic review of terms and conditions at the tendering stage and analysis of contractual risks and mitigation strategies.Assist in developing and implementing a procurement management policy and related tools and templates.Assist in tendering, when required, with review of terms and conditions and preparation of contractual qualifications.Assess commercial and contractual risks, identify and implement appropriate controls and escalate actual or potential issues to the projects and/or the management.Prepare reporting on commercial and contractual performance when required.Provide leadership to the contract administrators in relation to:Head Contract negotiation (contractual qualifications and close-out), conformance and administration: identify contract management requirements, monitor contract securities and insurances, draft on-time and substantiated claims and variations, completion of project close-out documentation.Preparing key subcontracts altogether with flow down from Head Contract, ensuring that risks gaps are minimized, in consideration of subcontractor capabilities and scope of works.Effectively managing subcontracts through all phases, including cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and close out dispute resolution processes.Participating in all project procurement strategies.As our ideal candidate you will: Hold a relevant degree such as Law, Commerce, Engineering or Construction Management or strong experience in managing construction contracts throughout their lifecycle.Value our Guiding Principles of Health & Safety, Integrity, Trustworthiness, Excellence, and Respect.Have experience in review of contracts, contract management, preparation and management of subcontracts, cost forecasting, claims, variations, and completion/close out documentation.Be an excellent communicator, an influential team member coupled with strong negotiation and mediation skills.Have an ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict deadlines, and have exceptional problem-solving skills.About our Benefits:
