Our client is one of the world's largest suppliers of mechanical power transmission, conveyor, and chain products. They provide engineering solutions for a vast array of industries including mining, pharmaceutical, and materials handling to name but a few.
About the role
As they are always looking to grow by targeting new markets, a need has arisen for an experienced sales professional to target the Food & Beverage manufacturing sector. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for:
Developing new business opportunitiesTaking a leading role in the development of their Food & Beverage manufacturing business opportunities and partnershipsIdentifying trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targetsInvolvement in the annual planning process for the development of the sales, profit, product & marketing budgetsEstablishing relationships with customers nationally that enhance their knowledge of the market & expand their opportunities for growthParticipation in the development of policies & procedures that contribute to the Company's objective for continuous improvementAssisting in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegating tasks that achieve strategic goalsSkills & experience
As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smooth as possible, you will possess the following key attributes:
Previous experience selling equipment, parts or services to the Food & Beverage manufacturing sectorA strong business development aptitudeAn ability to build rapport with people across all levelsExcellent communication, presentation, negotiation and time management skillsThe ability to look outside the square pertaining to new product opportunitiesBe commercially astuteThe ability and willingness to travelBenefits
