Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven National Account Manager to oversee and grow our presence in the specialty retail, vending, and fitness channels across Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key national accounts, driving sales, and implementing effective strategies to maximize market share for our beverage portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Account Management & Growth: Win, manage and nurture key national accounts within the specialty retail, vending, and fitness channels across Australia. Develop and implement tailored strategies to increase product distribution, sales, and brand visibility within each channel. Drive long-term business growth by identifying new opportunities, negotiating terms, and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders. Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute channel-specific sales plans, working in collaboration with trade marketing and category management teams. Drive key initiatives for new product launches, promotions, and brand activations in alignment with the broader business strategy. Monitor and report on sales performance, ensuring alignment with targets and identifying areas for improvement. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with decision-makers at national accounts, including retailers, vending operators, and fitness chain owners. Serve as the main point of contact for all account-related matters, ensuring excellent service, addressing concerns, and providing solutions in a timely manner. Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights within the specialty retail, vending, and fitness channels to inform business decisions. Provide regular market feedback to the sales and marketing teams, ensuring our product offerings and strategies are competitive and relevant. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and business objectives. Coordinate with the customer service and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal stock levels for accounts. Key Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of sales or account management experience, preferably within the beverage industry or FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods). Proven experience managing key national accounts within specialty retail, vending, or fitness sectors. Proven track record of winning new business and tendering for contracts. Skills: Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a track record of closing large deals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships. Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Australian beverage market and consumer trends. High level of initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple accounts. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the beverage industry, particularly in the specialty retail, vending, and fitness sectors. Familiarity with the dynamics of consumer trends, category growth, and channel-specific sales tactics.
