– Ongoing Join SA Health and Make a Difference as a Full-time Music Therapist in Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Palliative Care!Join our multidisciplinary team in Rehab, Aged Care and Palliative Care , where your expertise as a Music Therapist will be essential in enhancing patient care within our Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Transition Services wards.About the role: In this role, reporting to the Transitional Services Manager, GEM you will work with patients to improve and maintain function and well-being, including working with patients who await long-term disability services.
As part of the team, you'll engage patients in both individual and group music therapy sessions and have opportunities to contribute to Quality Improvement and research activities.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver a comprehensive, consumer-centred Music Therapy program within the Rehab, Aged Care and Transition Services wards, contributing to quality service and compassionate care.Perform thorough patient assessments, develop individualiesd treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic music sessions tailored to patient needs.Document assessment results, treatment plans, and patient progress in a timely and accurate manner.Support the design and implementation of quality improvement and research initiatives, contributing to evidence-based music therapy practices.Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture responsive to the unique needs of each patient.
About You: Qualifications: Appropriate degree in Music Therapy or equivalent; eligible for membership with the Australian Music Therapy Association.Experience: Demonstrated ability to assess and treat patients with various illnesses and disabilities relevant to aged care and rehabilitation or waiting for longer-term services.Skills: Creative, adaptable, and skilled in integrating technology into therapeutic practice, including tele-rehabilitation tools (iPads, video conferencing, and therapeutic apps) for accessible, innovative service delivery.
