Position OverviewWesley College is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Classroom Music Teacher for a full-time, permanent (1.0 FTE) position commencing in 2025.
This role will be based at our St Kilda Road Campus.
ResponsibilitiesTeach curriculum classroom music for Years 5-12.Conduct cocurricular ensemble groups.Potentially direct musical theatre productions.Lead small or large ensembles including big band, concert band, choir, orchestra, and/or musical theatre.Teach a variety of traditional and/or contemporary instruments in individual and group settings.QualificationsExperience in delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP, MYP, and DP program or VCE is highly desirable.VIT registration is essential.Proven expertise in playing an instrument or voice.Ability to work collaboratively in a large team.Knowledge of 21st-century music pedagogy and a commitment to improving teaching practice.Please note, applications will be reviewed upon receipt and interviews will commence prior to the close date.
