Murri Court Coordinator, Justice and Attorney-GeneralDepartment of Justice & Attorney General QLD – Brisbane QLDAbout the RoleIn this role you will have responsibility for the efficient and effective operations of Murri Courts across the state. This will include consultation with key stakeholders including members of the judiciary, government and non-government organisations, Elders and Respected Persons, and community justice groups. The role will be responsible for undertaking research, reviewing evaluations and recommendations, and developing options to inform the future direction of the Murri Court. The role will also be responsible for the ongoing coordination of these programs and for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their success.Your key responsibilitiesCoordinate the operations of the Murri Courts across Queensland.Consult with relevant Indigenous organisations and other stakeholders to provide high-level operational advice to better support Murri Courts and Community Justice Group activities towards facilitating justice processes consistent with service agreements, program guidelines, and statutory requirements.Conduct high-level research, reviewing evaluations and recommendations, and analysis, and lead the identification, development, and implementation of a best practice model for Murri Courts.Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships within CIP, across Court Services Queensland, with Elders/Respect Persons, Community Justice Groups, and with service providers and other stakeholders including the judiciary and other government and non-government organisations.Lead the design and implementation of responses to evaluation recommendations relating to programs supported by Indigenous Justice Programs including the Murri Court Evaluation and Community Justice Group Program Evaluation.Prepare reports, briefings, and correspondence on the operation of the Murri Court.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
