A Day-to-dayAs part of the core crew you'll be responsible for:
Performing installations, change-outs, and maintenance on roller frames, rollers, chutes, pulleys, scrapers, idlers, and other mechanical components.Fabricate large conveyor components as per issued drawings and customer specifications from profile cut and pre-cut steel.Fully weld components and finish to pre-paint stage to quality assurance standards.Ensure that the plant, tools, vehicles and safety equipment associated with the role are operated in a safe and effective manner in line with company safety standards.Conduct conveyor audits to diagnose condition and faults on mechanical equipment, make recommendations on preventative maintenance or how to improve production.Assist with job scoping and planning.Participate in and sign off on JSA's; safety observations or toolbox discussions.Roster & Conditions: 5/2 roster, Monday-FridayMinimum 38 hour weekPermanent position forming our core crewOvertime opportunitiesWhat's in it for you? As well as those that possess:
Experience and knowledge in conveyor belt systems and components.Sound communication and interpersonal skills.Abide by site and company safety policies and procedures.Current valid Driver's license – HR driver's license desirable.Ability to work on-call and overtime.Mining Industry experience – essential.QLD Coal Board Medical or ability to successfully obtain (Company funded).Tickets: Working at Heights, Confined Spaces – desirable.Proven knowledge and experience working in mining as a Belt Splicer (Conveyor System Technician).
