You will always have something to do, go to restaurants, movies, join a gym and sporting activities, play golf, as well as fishing and camping and activities at the lake.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Motor Mechanic with a strong involvement in all aspects of maintenance, including routine maintenance, repairs and servicing to join us in the Mobile Maintenance department at George Fisher Mine.
In this role you will carry out routine scheduled maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and completing breakdown repairs.
You will have the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, working in a dynamic and challenging environment with a high focus on planned maintenance by working within a team and promoting site safety standards and ensuring the highest standards of work are conducted and maintained.Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, you will have the ability to make decisions, work to meet deadlines and have exceptional communication skills.
The roster for this role is on a 7 on 7 off day and night continuous shift.The successful candidate will be responsible for: Working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary trade teamDemonstrating a high standard of professional workmanshipPerforming light fleet maintenance work, as well as breakdown repairsPlanned maintenance activities on assets including but not limited to, Toyota's, Nissans, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Holden and Isuzu as well as light trucks, buses and small trailersContributing to continuous improvement opportunitiesDelivering personnel and equipment to job sites and returning surplus equipment to storesAssisting in achieving budgeted development and production KPIs by performing varied tasksContributing positively to the team environment, operating safely and assisting with delivery of production targets within budgetMentoring apprenticesProject work as requiredAs the successful candidate, you will have the following skillset and attributes:Trade qualification – Motor MechanicHold a current manual driver's licenseHolding a current Refrigeration Handling Licence is highly regardedExperience in repairing mobile equipmentPositive attitude and high safety standardsMining or heavy industry experience will be highly regardedHolding High risk work licence, Working at Heights and Confined Space, forklift licence, MR or HR licenceExcellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skillsFlexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detailGood time management skills and able to work well under pressureDemonstrated ability to work well in a team environmentGood communication skillsWillingness and ability to learn new processesExperience in SAP would be an advantage or similar systemExperience in Excel would be an advantageFor further information, please contact: Graham Geraghty, Recruitment Coordinator on or email Applications Close: 08:00 am, Friday January 3rd, 2025
