As a Motor Mechanic, you'll ensure the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles through expert diagnosis, repair, and maintenance. Your work will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional automotive services.
Responsibilities: Utilise advanced diagnostic tools to identify and rectify mechanical and electrical issues in engines and vehicle components. Perform comprehensive engine overhauls, tune-ups, and component replacements. Disassemble engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other components to assess wear and damage. Repair and maintain both manual and automatic transmissions, including fluid changes, clutch replacements, and troubleshooting. Replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components. Conduct routine maintenance, optimise vehicle performance, and ensure emissions compliance through testing and tuning. Reassemble engines and vehicle components, ensuring correct installation and functionality. Inspect vehicles to issue safety certificates or identify necessary repairs to achieve compliance. Conduct all mechanical repairs including fuel systems. Supervise and mentor other junior mechanics in the workshop. Skills & Attributes (Compulsory): Certificate III and Certificate IV in automotive mechanical repair/light vehicle mechanical technology or related field. Two years' work experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role. Expert knowledge of automotive systems and components. Expert in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Expert in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues effectively. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge or experience in automotive panel beating and bodyworks. Knowledge or experience in automotive painting. Knowledge or experience in painting on metal surfaces. Knowledge or experience in welding or metal fabrication. Experience as a supervisor or workshop manager. #J-18808-Ljbffr
