About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Lawyer to join the close-knit and friendly CTP major claims team in our Sydney office.
The two-partner team specialise in catastrophic high-value claims involving spinal injuries, brain injuries and amputations, as well as complex liability and medical causation issues.
This role will give you exposure to interesting work for a variety of insurers, and the opportunity to work with, and learn from, pre-eminent practitioners in the field.
You will be mentored by a highly regarded Special Counsel to develop your skills in legal research, drafting advices and written submissions, briefing and liaising with expert witnesses and counsel, gathering evidence and preparing matters for resolution or hearing, with the goal of managing your own files.
You will also have early exposure to court appearance work and advocacy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer looking for mentorship and to build their litigation experience in a supportive environment.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be an admitted lawyer with some experience in a litigation environment, and a strong interest in working collaboratively to resolve claims for people with very significant injuries.
