Job Description We are currently looking for a qualified Scientist to join our team on a full time basis, working as a Molecular Scientist.
So what does a day in the life of a Molecular Scientist look like?
Something like this; Receiving and processing samples Analysing data, reporting, and reviewing Daily equipment checks, equipment calibration and maintenance Maintain stocks of reagents and consumables as required PCR set-up, whole genome amplification, next generation sequencing, capillary electrophoresis, STR linkage analysis, SNP genotyping Contribute to ongoing development, literature reviews, presentations, and laboratory meetings Work and learn off a team of passionate Scientists who are true experts in the field.
Qualifications This role will suit a qualified Scientist (Degree qualification in Molecular Biology or related field) ideally with some experience in a NATA accredited molecular diagnostic laboratory .
You will have strong laboratory skills, a keen desire to learn and a flexible approach to supporting the team.
