Key Responsibilities and Functions Customer Service Provide customer point of contact and routine advice for Construction and Asset inquiriesReceive, assess, initiate, monitor, and report action on inquiries and requestsAssist in the administration of customer requests, invoicing, and reports; monitor follow-upsRespond to routine correspondence on behalf of the Manager Construction and Assets and undertake follow-up action on outstanding correspondence or reportsAdministrative Support Provide general administrative support and reception duties to the Unit and other Units as requiredMaintain records and provide timely production of reports for CouncilAssist with the supervision and administrative duties relating to contracts and quotes being undertaken by the UnitAssist the Superintendent for various building maintenance contracts in day-to-day supervisionManage and maintain databases, including generation of reports and printing of plans from computerized asset management systems and map-based systemsInput data into Council's asset management systemProcess approved road opening and mass limit permitsUndertake assessment for Applications for Temporary Road Closure Permits including preparation of approvalsResearch Construction & Assets Business Unit issues and prepare routine reportsFollow up action officer lists and update listsEnter data to update computerized and paper-based systemsProvide general guidance to other users on computerized systemsPrepare and complete requisitions / purchase orders as requiredMonitor and report on relevant budgetsMinimum Requirements Relevant experience in Administration / Reception roleDemonstrated strong customer service skillsAbility to produce grammatically correct and accurate documentsAbility to use computerized systemsDesirable Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in Local GovernmentTo discuss this position please contact Simon Carson, Team Leader Infrastructure Development on : or
