Mobile Plant Diesel Mechanic (CAT Earthmoving Equipment Specialist) Buttrose Earthmovers is seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Diesel Mechanic (CAT Earthmoving Equipment Specialist) to join our team in Direk, SA.
As a specialist in maintaining and repairing CAT earthmoving equipment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet operates efficiently and reliably to support our construction projects.
This is a full-time position based on-site.
What you'll be doing
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on CAT earthmoving equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with CAT equipment.
Replace worn or damaged parts and components as required.
Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
Provide technical guidance and training to other mechanics and operators as needed.
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in Diesel Fitting, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or a related trade.
Extensive experience (5+ years) servicing and repairing CAT earthmoving equipment.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex equipment issues.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks.
Up-to-date knowledge of CAT equipment, servicing procedures, and safety protocols.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
