We are currently looking for a Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) to join our friendly team based out of Tarmac Dunain Mains Quarry, Inverness but providing Operative support across all our sites in the Caledonian region.
The key elements of this role are operating loading shovel, excavator as well as both mobile and static processing plant.
This role is easily accessible from Inverness, Elgin, Forres, Kinloss, Lossiemouth, Keith and the surrounding areas.

Main ResponsibilitiesReporting to the on-site Section Manager, the role of Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) will work as part of the Multi-Skilled Operational team which produces dry aggregates material for the construction industry.
As well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations the role of Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) you will specifically focus on operational tasks including:
Working with aggregates on site and operating machinery (including excavator and loading shovel)Day to day maintenance of the mobile and static plant, maintaining the highest levels of housekeepingWorking with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveriesMaintaining and driving a culture of zero harm and behavioural safetyCompliance and awareness of Health and Safety measures around the siteAdditional duties may be required but full training will be provided.
The Ideal CandidateSuitable candidates for the role Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) will be able to demonstrate proven experience preferably working within a similar aggregates environment.
You will also possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing your operative skills.
As part of an operational team, candidates for the role of Mobile Multi Skilled Operative (Quarry) will also:
Have knowledge of the industry, Plant and ideally of quarryingPossess experience working as loader/excavator operator and mobile/static plant operator (preferred not essential)Be flexible and able to work as part of an effective Multi Skilled Quarry Operative teamBe self-motivated and able to motivate other colleagues in the teamHave knowledge of Risk Assessments within the role of operativeHave knowledge of SSOW (HIRA) and Permit systems (preferred but not essential)Be compliant and engage with company policies, targets, goals and standardsGood timekeeping – flexible as to site requirementsGood communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line ManagementFull UK Driving LicenceBe IT literateShovel/excavator Licence (preferred not essential)This role is working across multiple sites.
Flexibility to meet production requirements, occasionally working Saturday mornings is required.
