Your Opportunity Be a part of our crucial team in Orange, providing a service for Australians in need through The Way Back program.
The Way Back Support Service is a non-clinical support service focused on providing practical psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide. As a Support Coordinator, you will provide non-clinical support to clients that is focused on providing practical psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Undertake initial intake and safety planning for clients and work with individuals and their families to create individualized case plans. Provide ongoing support sessions with clients and review progression and safety as required. Liaise with other support services and organisations to coordinate the requirements of the case plan. Assist clients in the process of transition out of the service into independence or other services. Ensure documentation is completed and updated in line with Mission Australia protocols. Complete a range of internal and external reports. Requirements for Success: Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant work experience Ability to engage and work with a range of consumers with varying levels of need. Demonstrated understanding of community activities, programs, and networks An understanding of case management processes Excellent communications skills both written and verbal. Computer literacy preferably using Windows. Current NSW Driver's License Strong integrity in the workplace and understanding of professional boundaries. Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
