About the position Aurenne Group Mining is currently seeking to engage a suitably experienced Mining Production Supervisor to join the team at Mt Ida. The Mining Production Supervisor is responsible for the management and scheduling of mining plant and personnel resources to meet and exceed production targets. They will be supervising a crew of approximately 27 people consisting of Dump Truck Operators, Excavator Operators and Auxiliary Equipment Operators. We run mostly Komatsu machines.
It is the Production Supervisor's responsibility to ensure all mine production activities are conducted safely and in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations, standards and operating procedures. The successful applicant will have reasonable experience operating production excavators and dozers, understanding the intricacies of open-pit gold mining, while working towards productions targets.
This is on an 8:6 | 7:7 roster, FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie.
Your duties will include but not limited to: Supervise heavy equipment operations at the project site/pit area Undertake safety and workplace inspections Backup multiskilled operation of plant and equipment as required Run safety meetings and pre start meetings Development, training and mentoring of the mining team Administration of production records Conduct Job Hazard Analysis as required Prepare daily supervisors reports Safe efficient supervision of mine operations - employees to meet projected production targets Recommend improvements to safe operating procedures as identified Monitor and maintain compliance with statutory and Company safe operating procedures Key Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including experience as a mining production equipment operator. Previous experience within an Open Cut mining environment - Gold highly desirable Schedule 26 or willing to obtain National police clearance - in-line with gold standards Strong leadership experience and ability to engage and empower teams Proven commitment to safety Good communication and interpersonal skills Must possess a valid Australian manual driver's licence Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screenings.
