About Daunia Mine:
Daunia is an established operation in the Bowen Basin, which has been producing high quality metallurgical coal for the export market since 2013. It is located south-east of Moranbah, adjacent to Whitehaven's existing Winchester South development project. Daunia features state-of-the-art infrastructure and mining operations, including well-established autonomous equipment and infrastructure
About the Role We are enthusiastically seeking a talent professional to join our team in the role of Mining Engineer.Reporting to the Superintendent Planning, you will play an integral role by working in design and scheduling for our truck shovel operations.
What You'll Do Creating, optimising and communicating short term designs and schedules for our truck and shovel and dozerpush operations Executing weekly planning routines and schedule updates Identifying and implementing cultural and process improvement initiatives within the team/operation Complex problem solving skills; Strong communication and presentation skills. Driving our safety culture through in field engagement What You'll Bring A positive attitude towards safety, improvement, training & environment Ability to maintain a high work output level Ability to adhere and live the Whitehaven Values and contribute to a collaborative organisational culture. Open-cut production mining experience with statements of competency/VOC's for equipment Ability to pass a QLD Coal Board Medical Why Whitehaven Coal Full Relocation Packages 26 wks.
