Job Description Core duties and responsibilities of this role include:
Assist with the implementation and ongoing operation of the MineStar FMS to ensure high availability and correct system operation.Provide direct user support and operation advice to Mine Control and the Technology Operation department.Support hardware and software installation, configuration, and testing.Manage vendor support to ensure incidents and problems are dealt with in a timely manner.Develop Training and Work Instruction material relating to the operation and maintenance of the Fleet Management System.Ensure system changes, upgrades, and updates are managed in accordance with the IT change management system.Lead functional testing of updates to ensure system continuity and ensure business risks are identified and assessed prior to deployment to production.Monitor product road map and life-cycle plans, ensuring business needs and expectations are managed.Address and resolve any technical issues related to the FMS system promptly, collaborating with IT, Mine Control, and/or vendor support as needed.Conduct and/or develop training sessions and provide system guidance to Mine Controllers, Supervisors, maintainers, and other mine personnel to ensure effective operation of the system.Documentation: Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs of system performance, maintenance, and operational issues.Collaborate with the Mine Technology team to develop and monitor scheduled equipment servicing and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.Proactively lead the monitoring and analysis of FMS performance, driving system enhancements in line with evolving business needs.Implement and oversee a comprehensive problem management process for the FMS system, identifying, analysing, and resolving system issues to enhance stability and efficiency.The Successful Applicant Demonstrated experience in MineStar implementation or upgrade projects in mining settings.Advanced skills in operating and troubleshooting Fleet Management Systems, particularly MineStar.
