About the Opportunity Piacentini & Son were recently awarded a 9-year contract for Kimberley Mineral Sands Thunderbird Operations, a greenfield Mineral Sands mine 140km by road between Broome and Derby.
We are seeking an experienced Minesite Electrician, for a Permanent Fulltime opportunity, based at our KMS Broome site.
The purpose of the Mine Electrician is to carry out Isolations, disconnection /connection of the Mining Unit, as well as any other electrical work to do with the Mining Unit, workshop and amenities.
The role works with Mining and Maintenance team members and reports directly to the Project Manager/Superintendent.
About You 3+ Years experience in a similar role Australian Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification & an A Grade Electrical Licence High Risk Licence for all relevant High-Risk activities (Crane, Dogging, Forklift, EWP) is desirable Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of all employees Strong interpersonal and communication skills Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen Responsibilities Follow all company safety, health and environmental procedures, including Job Safety Analysis Plans (JSAs) Present for work in a fit state to undertake electrical duties Identify, interpret and repair electrical components of the Mining Units Complete isolation of the Mining Units, and necessary tag-outs Conduct routine electrical repairs for the workshop and other site facilities Complete electrical tagging for all electrical items within the company Be proactive with continuous improvement processes About the Offer 8:6 Days Only Roster – 12 Hour Days Attractive Wages Permanent full-time role FIFO Perth or DIDO Broome Great camp with meals, gym, sporting facilities and planned activities Great benefits including Corporate HBF private health discount, discounted hotel stays and travel incentives Employee Assistance Programme for all employees and immediate family Opportunity to work for an industry leading organisation with one of the largest CAT fleets in the Southern Hemisphere Family owned and operated business from our offices based in Bunbury, Western Australia Apply Candidates locally to Broome are positively encouraged to apply.
