We are a high-volume motel with dining and bar facilities in the heart of Kalgoorlie. Our venue caters to mining, business contractors and the local community.Reports To:Operation Manager & General ManagerThe PositionThe Waiter Supervisor is responsible for ensuring customers are served in a professional and timely manner, including exercising patron care. The role is responsible for supervising one or more other food and beverage wait staff at any one time and for training wait staff at a lower level.Main duties and tasks (may include but not limited to):reporting to manager on duty or equivalent senior management or venue ownerassisting in rostering of staffsupervising and training food and beverage attendants and wait staff at a lower levelresponsible for the front of house dining or functionstaking reservations, greeting, and seating of guests and presenting them with menus and beverage listsassisting the manager on duty or equivalent management or venue owner with end of shift (afternoon or night) reconciliation of transactionsreceipting and dispensing of all moniesmay include banking of cash and ensuring the till is adequate for changecoordinating and managing stock takessetting and arranging tablestaking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staffserving food and beveragesopening bottles and pouring beveragesclearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchenremoving empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glassescollecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registersmay recommend wines to complement foodSkills or qualifications:Hold at least a relevant AQF Certificate II qualification (or equivalent); orHave at least one (1) year of relevant work experience which may substitute the formal qualificationSummary of role requirements:Flexible hours available1 year of relevant work experience required for this roleWorking rights required for this roleExpected start date for role: 18 November 2024Expected salary: $66,000 - $74,000 per yearFor additional information, kindly apply through Seek.com or reach out via email ****** look forward to hearing from you!
